What do I bring with me to the notary appointment?

Bring an unexpired driver’s license, state ID from the DMV, passport, or foreign passport stamped by the US Citizenship and Immigration Service.

  • If it is expired, I will be able to accept expired IDs issued within the last 5 years.

Also, bring your document which needs to be notarized.

  • Your document much have your name on it and must match your state ID or another form of ID

What if I don’t know what type of notarization I need?

If you do not know what type of notarization you need, please refer to the company or agency on the document for assistance

  • I am not an attorney so I am unable to provide any legal advice. Also, I am unable to provide you with any help regarding what type of notarization you need.

Do I need to be present with the notary?

Yes. As a notary, I need the client to be present for all notarizations.

What is needed for Real Estate documents

Bring an unexpired driver’s license, state ID from the DMV, passport, or foreign passport stamped by the US Citizenship and Immigration Service.

  • If it is expired, I will be able to accept expired IDs issued within the last 5 years.

Also, bring your document which needs to be notarized.

  • Your document much have your name on it and must match your state ID
  • Your thumbprint will be required for ANY real estate documents

Are you bonded and insured as a Notary?

Yes. I am currently bonded with the state of California and I have Errors & Omission insurance coverage up to $25,000.
